Happy New Year! My name is Adam Turner, and I am 2021 Marysville Chamber and Main Street President. I am a Kansas native originally from the Eureka, Kansas area. In May of 2017 I relocated to Marysville to manage KanEquip. I have been heavily involved in local community organizations for many years, in Marysville and other communities.
I look forward to the opportunity to help and partner with our local businesses during the next year. With that said, I understand that many businesses have struggled through 2020 and this pandemic. For at least the first part of 2021 we will continue to face many of the same challenges.
At the Chamber and Main Street, we are focused on what we can do to help. We want to hear your needs and use the resources that we have available to help move your business forward. Is your business marketing a new strategy? Are you running a special on products or services? We can help. Let us know what we can do to promote your business. As a business member, we work for you.
As a reminder, our goals are to make Marysville a better place to live, work, and conduct business. To be an organization that is available to its members and citizens. We provide opportunities to network, learn, and promote member businesses. The Visitors Center is open five days a week and Saturday mornings to welcome travelers and tourists. All of this, while relying on volunteers to lead our organization.
We have reason to be optimistic, and I firmly believe that 2021 is going to be an amazing year. Many of the events cancelled in 2020 will be back and stronger than ever for 2021. The Mother’s Day Market, Big Blue River Days, The Gravel Dash, Business After Hours, and Lunch and Learns to name just a few. I look forward to these and many of the other events planned around our awesome community. If you’re already a member of Marysville Chamber and Main Street, thank you. Please let us know what we can do for you and your business. If you are not, please do not hesitate to ask how to become a member. Without your membership we could not exist.
